The National Executive Committee recently updated the selection policy to qualify for the national team in international events. The policy is now fairer for all athletes from across all states to qualify without comprimising the high standard expected of an elite athlete in competition.
The purpose of this Selection Policy is to provide the selection process to be applied by Kung Fu Wushu Australia (KWA) when selecting athletes and officials for inclusion in the National Team.
The objective of this Selection Policy is to identify those athletes who, in the opinion of KWA, are most likely to achieve the best possible results at one of the following International Events:
(a) World Wushu Championships
(b) World Junior Wushu Championships
(c) World Kung Fu Championships
(d) World Taijiquan Championships
(e) World Wing Chun Championships
(f) Other International Wushu Championships sanctioned by IWuF
(g) The Pacific Games
